How's the leave policy in Pwc AC Bangalore? I joined here recently and I'm not sure on what basis the leaves are added. In my previous organisation for every month it automatically adds 15 hours (1.5 days) of leave every month and the maximum leaves eligible was 30 days. And I got 7 days sick leave on top of that from every September. So could someone let me know how it works in @pwc ac Bangalore?

Anyone with any sense knows that people are stressed by the current situation and are going to need some down time at some point to recover. When that is, no one knows. So while you’ll be able to vacation at some point and should do so, the timing is very uncertain. In the meantime you need to pace yourself and work especially hard to care for yourself now with sleep, hydration, good food, exercise, and fresh air.
Had to postpone my May wedding and honeymoon to November already. You can bet your ass I’m tacking on some extra days to that honeymoon.
Ugh glad you asked this. I had a vacation planned for May 😭
I don’t think I’ll get a vacay this year/take one. Though honestly these last few weeks have been so stressful I’m already exhausted and I haven’t even been billing all that much. But I don’t see it happening, unless I see that there’s absolutely no way I’m making my hours anyway.
Also my main partner currently thinks this is “vacation” for me (has called it my “covid19 vacation” even though I’m sitting in front of my comp all day anyway responding to emails and addressing client concerns, which is even more exhausting than normal document work), so he’d think any other vacation would be uncalled for... sad as this is to say.

That’s a brutal situation A2. I’m sorry that your partner is an asshat. It’s hard to imagine anyone considering WFH during a pandemic to be a vacation. Do you best to take care of yourself and get away from your computer for at least and hour a day and at night. There’s nothing good these days inside that depressing box. Hang in there and make sure you plan and take good vacation whenever it’s over.
Yes.
I think it depends on the department you’re in/what services you provide. I get that a lot is on hold now, or after this M&A, insolvency, etc will become slammed. I also think any good employer would allow their trusted employees to still take a vacation when time is right. Be flexible with plans. You’re likely to not jet anywhere.

You can’t bill for vacation.
