I have an interview for a job tomorrow but noticed this morning that the posting for the job was taken down from the company’s site (as well as on LinkedIn). Has anyone experienced this before? Doesn’t taking the posting down mean they’ve found someone for the job already?

Hello Bainees 🐠
I was invited to attend a Bain London “Curious about Consulting” event 2 weeks ago, after a CV submission, and given particular timeline to apply and interview dates. And I have strong reason to apply to London (used to work and live in London, currently based in Paris)
On the other hand, a good friend who is a Manager at Bain’s Helsinki office is willing to refer me to Bain’s Stockholm office. But I have a relative weaker reason there. What do you suggest? Bain & Company

I've only been in biglaw for a year, but have been practicing for seven years so far. I used to be a state regulator for this practice area and generally enjoy working at a private firm. A partner at a boutique firm that I'm friends with has called me every few months to check-in and see how I'm doing. During our last call he essentially offered a job after I get another year of experience in private practice. Five year track to partnership. No billable hours.

Do I have something to worry about? The senior associate stopped roping me in on something that I’ve been working on and has been pulling other juniors in. I’m a one month old lateral for context.

Hey all - first year associate here… I’ve met my hours requirement for this year (requirement is 1900 and am currently at around 2050 with billable hours - approx. 2160 with non billable admin hours) and I am just tired. Is it okay to just “disappear” during the holidays (thanksgiving week, week of Christmas) and let partners and senior associates know I am not available? At this point I don’t care about making more money - I just want to sleep, read a good trashy book, and cuddle with my dog.
