If you are feeling sick or something during the day and WFH, do you feel comfortable napping it off and then getting back to work and working late if needed? I have friends that say this is totally normal and okay but I feel weird about it and can never actually rest to feel better if I do lay down

I feel comfortable napping all day if I need to. It's important to be mentally alert to do your best work.

In a similar vein it's also not a problem to take a long lunch when needed, or start the day late to take care of non-work related to do's. I've spoke to my manager about it, and it's not just approved, but encouraged. To be fair I also do recall being early in role, and being hypersensitive about the hours I was clocking. It takes time to find the proper balance, at which point you'll likely be more productive than when forcing yourself to stare at your screen 8-5 every day to feel like you'rebeing accountable. Over time that balance seems to shift, you'll go through highly productive long-hour weeks, and then have a welcomed lull where you can focus on yourself a bit more, and perhaps not have to be at your desk all day for a short period.

There's an old story of an amateur lumberjack trying to hack down a tree with a dull saw. It's not going well. A traveller tries to convince the guy that he should stop, rest, and sharpen the saw. "I can't do that, I need to cut this tree down!" Replies the lumberjack. The tree would come down faster with a sharp saw and sawstrokes from a well rested lumberjack. But when you are the unrested lumberjack, it's hard to realize this. You have to take good care of your tools. Your body and mind are the most important ones, and the idea that we must be on the job for X hours straight without more than a Y minute break is antiquated. Get work done. Rest when you need, and get more work done. Take a sick day when you need to. When these things let you cut down more trees than someone who is tired and working with dull tools, the results will speak for themselves. And if your employer is enforcing things that make this difficult, it's time to find a new employer

Yes.

Of course. If I was sick in the office, I’d just go home to sleep it off. If it makes you feel better, tell your boss you’re taking PTO for a half a day or however look you need to get better.

(also posted on singles bowl but want ladies opinion) I slept over at my boyfriend's apartment for the first time and found a stash of Viagra and other ED medicines in his cabinet. We have only started dating recently and his "performance" has been hit/miss. Very confused on how to approach it with him. Should I even be with him or not? I am feeling like he lied to me about his medical condition and could have brought it when I had explicitly asked him about this.

I have a final round interview for a non-investment role at a hedge fund in the NYC area. I was told I would be discussing comp with the founder of the fund. What kind of compensation can I expect going into the conversation? The firm has about 35 employees and $15bn AUM. Role is business development/client service associate and this would be my first full time role. I just want to have a general idea of what comp could/should be so I feel prepared to discuss
