I have 6+ yoe worked with big companies like Nestle, Reckitt and now at Allergan. I am a well seasoned Sales professional. Can someone help me out with the hiring process ?Amazon Amazon India

Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

No - sometimes you need a client email to access their systems to gather data for a strategy project. Or send invites for interviews from their Teams instance.
The answer is no, and the people who are saying yes have zero idea what they’re talking about. Some clients are so sensitive about their data that they’ll give you an email address + laptop / virtual access to their environment even for a 3-4 week strategy project.

Depends. If we get email addresses it’s for data / system / Teams access.

It's very common to have email and even machines. Totally unrelated to type of role.
Yes, it’s fairly likely. Although sometimes it may be a formality if you need access to client data/servers
No. I’ve had clients offer a laptop + email for project work. I try to decline whenever possible, though, to minimized having “stuff”

I get a client laptop for almost every engagement I’m on (in commercial cyber account and these engagements are usually no more than 3 months in length)
No, as everyone said often just an access thing for systems. I've had one for my last two clients and I def was staff Aug.
Most of my engagements are relationship based with an anchor client, long term - 1 year+ including strategy and implementation, and my teams all operate 95%+ on the client network to the point where we barely check our firm emails. None of the engagements are staff aug (I.e, managed by client). The op model has nothing to do with whether you get a client email or not
