It's been 20+ months of remote. The world had changed. Accept it.

How to be a competative employer in the New Normal:

-Remote completely
-Yearly company wide team building week in an exotic resort (think Deloitte University) + Quarterly team based meetup at a WeWork
-WFH setup & wifi / cell phone paid + $X stipend for coffee / lunch etc. Virtual hh.
-training budget
-good team culture and reasonable WLB
-holiday time shut down for min 1 week
-leverage Slack, GSuite, Jira, Asana, etc

got laid off at Hopin. job search is going well but finding it super hard in interviews to get an idea of the company culture and whether they actually care about work/life balance. they will obviously *say* they do but i fear in reality they’re just going to advantage, overwork you and pile on the deadlines. so many people in interviews with me have been so uninspiring, barely smile and seem totally burnt out. is this just my experience?

Moms with kids in daycare how are you dealing with inevitable colds? 2 yo has runny nose and sneezing but otherwise fine.. we see my parents weekly and now I’m wondering if we shouldn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️ they provide part time childcare. I’m sure it’s just a cold but ugh

I'm starting my IT career I've Deliotte Usi as FullStack Java developer and Rakuten India as Java developer ( not Rakuten symphony )
Both companies are offering same CTC and same position I'm confused which one to choose since CTC isn't different and I just have 12 months of total experience
