1) What do we even do here?
2) Ok, can you explain to me like I'm 5 what we do here?
3) What is the lunch break policy?
4) How long can my Teams indicator be yellow during the work day?
5) How soon can I take PTO?
6) How long do I have to stay on the project before rolling off?
7) Who can I delegate work to?
8) What's the expense policy?

What the charge code is

What's the scope (what are we doing)? I'd read the SOW first before asking. What's your role/expectations?

👆Always read the SOW

It's been 20+ months of remote. The world had changed. Accept it.

How to be a competative employer in the New Normal:

-Remote completely
-Yearly company wide team building week in an exotic resort (think Deloitte University) + Quarterly team based meetup at a WeWork
-WFH setup & wifi / cell phone paid + $X stipend for coffee / lunch etc. Virtual hh.
-training budget
-good team culture and reasonable WLB
-holiday time shut down for min 1 week
-leverage Slack, GSuite, Jira, Asana, etc

got laid off at Hopin. job search is going well but finding it super hard in interviews to get an idea of the company culture and whether they actually care about work/life balance. they will obviously *say* they do but i fear in reality they’re just going to advantage, overwork you and pile on the deadlines. so many people in interviews with me have been so uninspiring, barely smile and seem totally burnt out. is this just my experience?

Just got a verbal offer from Amazon!! Any resources for salary negotiation y’all could share?

Moms with kids in daycare how are you dealing with inevitable colds? 2 yo has runny nose and sneezing but otherwise fine.. we see my parents weekly and now I’m wondering if we shouldn’t 🤦🏻‍♀️ they provide part time childcare. I’m sure it’s just a cold but ugh

Holding all else equal, would you pick an Asian doctor / PT / chiro etc over somebody of another race? I try to do that when it’s an option, but my father keep telling me to pick the white guy lol
