I believe they get notified when they formally request to have the license transferred. Not when you get fingerprinted.

This is correct. I work with a lot of advisors that are switching firms and we definitely have them fingerprint and start the background checks, etc. and have them completed before their employer is told they are resigning. If they found out as soon as they were fingerprinted this couldn’t happen.

One partner is driving me insane. I CANNOT work with him. We are far enough in the case that it would take a lot of time for someone to take over for me but still early enough that the case will be going for another 2 years. Has anyone ever asked to be pulled from a case and is there a way to distance myself from this partner without hurting my reputation? 2nd year lit associate, partner is a jr partner in a different office but we cross staff a lot. Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)
