Hi! Any Canadians here to offer perspective on current salary? I have a Masters and 2+ years of total internship experience, have been at a Big 4 firm (advisory) for about a year now. Salary is 56k + no bonus but OT. Wondering if I am super underpaid and should consider exiting esp. with no comp increase/promo this year?
Fellow F 🐠, why do Deloitte men suck? How about the MBB, other Big 4, Accenture, etc. guys? Just trying to understand.
Is 3 years experience at Big 4 Risk Consulting with CPA, 710 GMAT, and 3.4 gpa with dual degrees from top 25 liberal arts college enough to get into northwestern weekend MBA?
my brother wants to buy an investment property with me. I remember reading kpmg rules that you can't own a business when you work at big 4. anyone out there do real Estate investing while working?
Are there any lays offs on at Deloitte cloud practice group ? How easy or difficult to get in as senior consultant ? How is the career growth ? I have been developer with limited cloud experience but have .net experience and overall 5+ yoe at another big 4 also cloud certifications under belt. Any idea about compensation range ? Any issues applying on H1B with i140 approved. Job posting says “limited sponsorship available”, what does that mean ? Appreciated very much.
Would really appreciate your advice: pre-covid I was in talks to join 3 of the big 4. Covid happened and they decided not to move forward due to the uncertainty. Now, I have interviews with Guidehouse. I’m a BA at a no name org and would really like to move on. If I decide to go to Guidehouse, how easy/difficult would it be to go back to private sector consulting vs. public sector consulting, assuming I am doing private sector consulting now? WWYD?
Im starting full time in Big 4 risk advisory (IT Audit) and I already know I dont want to do this. How do I get back into finance which was my major? I interned at an investment bank in trading but didnt get a return offer/didnt even like it. Id rather be in corporate finance. I dont know what to do. Is there a way to transfer internally?
Looking for director opportunities at big 4 and other consulting firms. I’m KPMG alumni. 20 years of advisory experience. Would appreciate any leads
Been working at a big 4 for a few months short of a year now, and have an offer from another big 4 for a promotion and a pretty heft pay bump that I won't see for about 18 months if I stay. Thoughts?
Why are the Big 4 considered to be the best places to work and best consulting firms? Other than prestige and brand I don’t understand why they’re consistently rated and regarded so highly
I spent 4 or 5 hours searching for the bastille in france in 2017, with several other undergrads, who are now all employed at b4/acn.
What is perception of Baker Tilly? I am in Philadelphia- BT is relatively new to this area. We don't try to compete with B4 but think we're on par with all others
Hello cyber team! Can anyone help suggesting sys integrator/implementation firms that are focussed primarily on cloud and devsecops? Also do they match big 4 salaries to some extent? Tia!
Can someone share if MBB does any sign to close or post close work like separation planning, TSA creation, synergy modeling etc? Typically I have seen big 4/Accenture/a&m do such kind of work.
What’s the comp range for a Manager in People & Change at KPMG? Tier 1 city. Also, anyone have insight into the change management pillar? Good projects, well staffed, etc?
I just barely started at my firm and got staffed on a project which requires travel. My firm only allows me to expense hotels on a personal card, everything else goes on the corporate Amex. I’ve had a venture one card for 2 years now but am thinking about getting the chase sapphire reserve. Kind of lost here - any advice?
Which other firms allow you to use personal cards for travel expenses and reimburse for AMEX annual fees?
What's the executive director position at EY? I thought they have senior manager role and not directors. Can someone clarify?
What's the first thing you go for when someone shares their screen via Webex? I usually go for the bookmarks or the recent chats .
What are your blood types? There’s more and more scientific research now finding those who are O are affected less than A and AB for covid. However don’t be too thrilled if you’re O or depressed if you’re the latter ones. Just stats. Curious where people fall.
Why does this bowl only have discussion over Visa and related issues. Don’t we have lighter topic to discuss ? Or even helping out each other with career related question or just fun things
Need your advice: I got an offer from industry but torn whether to take the role or not. Only reason I was looking was because I've been on the bench too many times (4 times in 2 years)...
Is there a good article/resource that I can read up on the effect that being/not being from a minority group has on my admission chances? Not from the U.S, but plan to apply to US schools and need to know if I need to aim higher because of my gender/ethnicity. Thanks a
Anyone have a good source for cover letter templates? For example successful MBB ones? I want to become more familiar with general cover letter norms and get some ideas for how to frame my background before starting to write. Most of what I have found online is terrible.
Took a brief vacation; not much has changed. We just keep rallying on the averages. Today, we sold off into a buy level and have rallied nicely from there. 3390 is a short term target. We are getting overextended but could remain like this for some time. Check out the latest draw here.
What tools have you found useful for budgeting? I’ve found Mint to be inneffective (maybe I’m not utilizing it well), but the typical travel reimbursements make it hard to track what I spend on myself
