Hi all! I am trying to land my first entry level tech job as either a Business Analyst or Data Analyst. What are your thoughts on Google’s Data Analytics Certification? Would this be enough to get my foot in the door?

Are recruiters worth more than L&D specialists? We have a new recuiter that transferred in from another dept. & is already making more than me and has a higher comp range. We have same tenure & they have NO prev. recuiting experience. I should also add I have been helping cover recuiting in interim. I also help cover HR tasks, have my SHRM, 5 years of HR exp., and 2 degrees. Is the "value" for recruiters more than L&D? I feel a little taken advantage of, but want to know if I'm off base here.

Do you people look down at sales? I have received comments from family & friends, sharing I should do something more stable like consulting. I actually enjoy selling, and will ignore the comments, have you received the same criticism, how did you handle it?

I’m currently a sales development rep and I’ve been with the company for almost 11 months. I’m interested in making a lateral move into sales recruiting or Account management preferable within the company but open to outside because (1) I don’t feel like I can be successful in this role and (2) the base pay is very low and not competitive enough to live in SF. Can anyone speak to the stress levels of saas sales with a long sales cycle? I can’t tell if I’m burnt out on sales or just my company. Started a new role where I can WFH for 2022 but then in Jan 2023 the company want me to move to TN where their office is (this was put into offer letter) even though they’re hybrid.
