This is just an appreciation post for the two seniors on my team (I’m a first year). I think we’re all really slammed, and I think the two of them are carrying an even heavier load than everyone else. In their positions, I think it would be really easy to lapse into toxic behaviors, but they’ve done the opposite. Both have gone out of their ways to acknowledge how much I have on my plate, check in to make sure I’m doing okay, and give me encouragement.

A recruiter reached out to me for a position and I referred my friend for the position instead. The recruiter promised me a referral bonus and is asking me to provide an invoice. He also says I need to take care of any associated costs. Is this standard? Also, how do I issue an invoice as an individual? I’ve never done referrals before. Thanks in advance.
