Me personally, I've learned to enjoy the meetings and try to establish a more friendly type of relationship with everyone. We talk business but crack jokes from time to time. The people that hate meetings the most are usually the ones that don't like spending time with people. But try hopping to another company and see if that can help.

I earn $150k+ in treasury at 30. Sure, the job isn’t the most glamorous but it’s comfortable, my coworkers are nice enough, and I can afford the time and things I want in my personal life. I’d say look for a job that will meet or exceed your financial reqs and a team or at least leader that you enjoy working for. Yes, working on a passion project may bring more joy but depending on what that is, the financial risk may or may not be worth the stress. Do your job but don’t take work too seriously.

Hey VP2, what do you do in treasury? Can I DM you for details?

Work will never fully satisfy you. Also, the people who say this are full of it. No one loves their job every single day. There are good and bad times.
I felt satisfied when I first started out after college. Everything was pretty exciting, busy, and everything was completely new. And my coworkers were a fun crowd to hang out with after work even.
Although now that I’ve gotten my feet under me, it’s not really enough to fully be enough. But if I’ve got the right group of people that I’m working with, the job is good.

I think the people who love their jobs are the owners.
How much of your work time is spent in meetings? 80 percent?
80% is probably a good estimate yeah. I am very deliberate in my efforts to not schedule meetings that aren't purposeful... but one can only control so much.
