I'd quit my job, but I wouldn't retire I would be working on my own projects.

Retire of course! Go backpacking around the world. That's my dream.

I would absolutely retire. Why waste life working when you don't have to?

like

I would! I'd invest in a business model so I could make passive income as well. What about you?

like

I would, but also be sure to invest a portion of it to create a legacy for my children.

like

Nah, invest it first while working for a little while to let it grow more and THEN quit

like

If the primary condition is to get retired, then only you will get 10 cr, then I will retire and will do what I am thinking to do after my retirement now.

Why not 😁

My income is $6 away from the next tax bracket(32%). Any ideas on how to lower my taxable income? Last year, my additional source of income(cd accts, robinhood) net out to be 8k. So i know this will take me over to the next tax bracket. Currently, I do put 6k in ira, 3500 in hsa, do roth contribution 14% towards my 401k. Also, pay ~30k/year tuition for my grad schooI(dont think this helps lowering my tax?) anything that I am missing to lower my taxable income? What else do you do?

Thoughts on Indexed Universal Life Insurance as an investment vehicle? I hear the pros and cons from the sellers of this, whom I understand gain heavy commissions. But wanted to get thoughts from investors and if this isn't a good vehicle, what alternative investment vehicles do you suggest (outside of stocks, Roth, 401k, and real estate)? Looking to diversify my portfolio. I'm 43, married, income 600k combined, and we have 2 properties worth 3m and investment accounts worth ~2-3m. Thanks!

Hi! I have a few questions on the backdoor Roth in which I’ve done a bit of research online. When it comes tax time, will my 401k vendor (Merrill) give me the correct documents? I’ve just used turbo tax in the past but am worried of any documents I may be missing to adjust any tax. Also- when does the pro-rata rule come into play? I’m just nervous in the entire process as this is my first year doing this. TIA!!
