Morning and copy in your team. Clients do this sometimes I find because they forgot to do something and are trying to get it done on the sly without their own team finding out or your managers. Positioning it as though they trust you and want to work collaboratively with you.
99 % of my clients, morning...my biggest client, if it needs my attention - I’m on it.
I might add that I like to “schedule send” emails for first-thing in the morning with team cc’d (if I think it’s necessary). I do this to catch up and know a response is taken care of if I happen to be online but don’t want the client to receive my response at night.
Yes, great suggestion that I do too.
In general, I avoid the responses late at night unless it’s an emergency or something that will simmer/get worse overnight. It’s not bad for the client to feel like you are working hard like they are, as long as it doesn’t turn into a constant.
Thanks everyone for the insight! I think the verdict is pretty clear, and it makes perfect sense as to why.
