Using historical data usually up front is best but I'd sleep better doing a large chunk immediately (20-50%) and DCAing the rest.
Can you increase retirement/529/HSA contributions and hold back a little of the cash to cover monthly expenses?
Agree with the other comment. Max all retirement accounts out. With anything left, I'd probably lump sum a big chunk now (whatever you're comfortable with) and DCA the remainder over the next year (or again, whatever timeframe you're comfortable with).
Don't try to time the bottom. You won't be able to.

This is what I’m doing. Came into a lump sum and did 40% up front and will trickle in the rest about weekly over the next month or three.
This is really a case by case situation. Regardless, in most cases I'd recommend maxing retirement accounts, depending on your tax bracket Roth vs traditional assets it may be worth paying to convert some traditional IRA assets to Roth, you may be way ahead of the game and like your job in which case you may not want to throw more into retirement accounts. If you're loaded diversifying into fine art or something of the like may make more sense depending on your current asset mix.
I am doing DCA over 18 months of a relatively large amount I got. Started in February. No one can time the market but I think we have few good years of market and this year and next may be bad……. Just my thoughts here. I may be wrong
