Starting to feel a lot better about my crappy ass Guidehouse bonus/raise after seeing the Deloitte fallout today 🤣
Stay on a project leaning absolutely nothing but get promoted because it’s a high profile client or ask to roll off the client and actually learn something but give up your chances on a promotion? Which is better?
Got promoted to senior but did not get a raise to go with it. Firm keeping salaries flat this year due to COVID-19, but I was shocked when I found out promoted staff wouldn’t be getting a raise either. To me, this whole thing rings hollow because the firm has told us multiple times that they were projecting flat growth for the year when compared to last year (which was one of the best in firm history). So it pisses me off that they shot their mouth off about how great year last year was...cont
This is not a recruiter question specifically, but how do you approach your manager about a promotion?
Can someone in CPI explain what raises/bonuses look like for an analyst? I’ve heard year 1 raise + Consultant promo raise in May. Is that the case?
Is a breakaway from Tech consulting to economic development possible? What are your stories or stories you’ve heard? Thanks for all advice/opinion. 2 years in after college with recent promotion
Can I ask for not getting promoted to SC? My plan to stay as C for next 4-5 years. really do not want promotion. I enjoy being C, can do SC or even M's job. How to get this communicated to leadership?
Seriously, how to ask for a raise? I have 1YOE and and seeing a lot of people jumping ship for huge raises. I would rather stay at my firm for various reasons, so how do I bring this up? And to who? Thanks
UPDATE: ***“likely no merit based raises unless promotion”*** UPDATE: Layoffs are possible, markets are “fluid.” Leadership will not commit to saying layoffs are off the table. Overview on Business 1. Financial revenue decline 2. Cost Savings NEW INFO 1. 10% short on revenue plan 2. Turnover down significantly, 2,000 excess employees 3. Pricing pressures are creating economic headwinds
Starting a discussion about a promotion and pu bump. I have done was asked by my old boss and had an underperforming direct report. I still accomplished my tasks and helped our corporate team particularly with data analysis for most of last year, and working with a new boss. My new boss seems hesitant about promoting another person in my team. How can I make a strong case without making the aforementioned barriers seems like excuses?
Is the main advantage of applying to mba early simply to literally start making more sooner? Is it easier when you’re younger? I’m fortunately not in a rush to apply and I think next year my app will be stronger, my income is not gonna be much higher post mba, I’ll have another promotion, better recs, and less debt to take on. What am I missing?
Can public sector/federal senior associates share their salaries in the comments? I just got promoted to senior and I’m trying to get an understanding of the industry standard across the board so thought I’d ask here in addition to using Glassdoor and what not. I’ll start: My new base with my promotion is 84k.
Hi 🐠 I have a job offer to leave consulting to go to a start up. It’s hardly a raise but I think the work is really cool. I have 2.5 YOE and think there is value in making this move for start up experience. Any thoughts from some older/wiser 🐠? Thank you!!
I’m a second year BTA up for promotion to C this year. What roles/positions should I apply for? Hoping for possible $100K-110 pay. Mostly do functional and PMO work with CS background

Hi fishes, I am currently a staff 3 at EY GDS and got confirmation on my promotion. I will be a S1 effective from october and i got the exceptional performer rating. But i have 3 YOE with 8 LPA and i received an indirect hint that my hike wont be good. Please let me know your thoughts? How much can i expect in terms (%) increment this year based on the promotion? Is that even dependent on the promotion? And should i look for other opportunities considering the YOE and current package?
Kinda disturbing how intensely some folks ordering the iPhone X are being attacked online. Why does it matter if others want a phone? It seems to be another manifestation of the culture wars.

Thoughts on Zoom? Did a mistake to buy at $460 right after results. And it has been tanking since that day. Cut losses or hold? Thoughts please? Thanks.
I was on the bench for about two months for AFS (prj complications / clearance) where I ended up just taking a project that seemed to align with something I wanted. I've been here for about 3 weeks...
I am just enrolling in 401k, what does it mean to max out 401k contribution? I googled and it says max contribution is 19k, so should I do 19k / my salary and contribute that %?
Anyone else feeling almost more stressed out now that the vaccine is here? Made it this far by being careful... would be so frustrating to get sick with the new variant just as I’m waiting my turn for the the vaccine. Definitely preoccupying my thoughts.
I’m a European citizen, I don’t currently live in the U.K. but I wanna move there before the transitional Brexit year is over, do I need an immigration lawyer to figure the situation and help with papers or is that just a waste of money?

Burnout in tech is so very real. How do you deal if you are already there? How do you maintain sanity at the same time without losing everything you worked so hard for?
I accepted an offer from TCS and later got a better offer from another company. Now if I refused to join TCS, will be able to join TCS later in my career? Asking this cause I heard ex employees can't join back as there was a policy change. Technically I'm not still a TCS employee yet but just asking to make sure. Thank you.

Currently M-ish level at a large tech firm doing strategy. CPO offered me to swap into his umbrella as a PM. Has anyone made a transition like this? Curious what paths lay ahead for PMs.
