Absolutely not.
No. There should already be someone else on the deal to take over for you.

Lol how much extra are they offering to pay
The answer is no
No, just make sure to loop in another associate or partner to handle in case closing slips.

If you like firm and people, then I probably would as long as it doesn’t impact your new start date. Just don’t take on any new work. You’re still getting paid.
The time off between leaving a firm and starting at a new one is precious. It’s not worth sacrificing even a day or two, especially for the stress of a delayed closing.
Don’t do it. I was in this scenario and the deal closed just fine without me
What sort of pressure could they possibly exert? Just peer pressure? This isn’t your issue
Coach
Heck no. Not your problem.

I did extend and do an extra week at my firm before lateraling due to an ongoing deal I was running. They asked me to stay through closing, I refused since that was too indefinite, but agreed to an extra week to move it along as much as possible.
IMO, a week is short, your career is long. Cannot tell you how many times former colleagues have helped me out with work and networking favors. If you hate the place and everyone there, you do you, but if you think you may ever work across from these people, they may lateral to your new employer, they may get a job at your client etc., think about whether you want to leave them with a great impression of you.
Coach
Precisely. You said it better than I did above but I totally agree.
