First person in my family to have a corporate job so I don’t have anyone to ask these questions. I’m wondering how much I should put into my Roth 401K? Hey mummas, I'm struggling with how I feel about my team at work. None of them, including my manager, have children and they just don't get it. I'm pregnant with my third and my manager has never once asked me how I'm doing, only ever refers to it in terms of me 'leaving' for maternity leave so he'll be a resource down. Never once asked how I'm coping with juggling wfh & full time caring for my children through covid, and icing on the cake my baby just recently.. (continued in comment)

I am currently working as Senior Consultant in my current firm and just got an offer from Deloitte UK and Version1 for HCM Cloud practice. Version1 pays more (75k basic + quarterly profit share) and has good employee centric policies where else Deloitte has 60k basic + 5100 in flex benefits and no clarity on bonus. The only reason why I wanted Deloitte was for the exposure but is it really worth it? Considering the work life balance may not be as great here as well. Will appreciate any help

Does anyone have any thoughts about a company terminating an employee within the HR team for testing positive for COVID 19 and further accusing the said employee of being the one that created the entire team to become infected by not answering the health screening questions accurately? The company in question weeks prior wrote the employee up referencing sexual innuendo due to an accusation of a preferred name.

Career advice: I became an HR mgr/BP relatively early on in my career so have 7 years BP exp. and 9 overall. I work in pharma as a Sr. BP/manager now. I’d like to make a move into an AD or higher role but seem to only get consideration for lateral moves. Not sure if it’s because I don’t have enough experience or if I’ve never had direct reports? How did you make that first jump? I’d need to relocate for anything at my current org which is not possible for me right now. Thanks for insights!

How would you go about telling a company you don’t want to do anymore interviews? I was originally told probably two or three, then “one last one”, and now “potentially two more”. In each interview, they talk like I have the role and keep asking how much notice I would need to give as if they’re in a rush to get me in, but then schedule another round of interviews. Honestly the interviews seem more like meet and greets. Cont.

*Post discusses infant loss* My daughter died soon after her birth earlier this summer. I took 2.5 months off and am back at work now. I’m doing ok being at work because we’re WFH. I can take breaks, I can wear fuzzy clothes, I can cry when I get a firm birth announcement without anyone seeing. We’re supposed to start back at the office soon and I don’t know how to manage that. My grief can be triggered in a million different ways. Any advice from your experiences? (also I am in counseling)
