Force? No. But if they fire you…. This could be a possible retaliation case

like

Definitely no company can “force you” to resign unless there is a company violation. If you expressed dissatisfaction with your salary and you feel you are being pushed out because of it, you need to take it to corporate HR.

Just to be clear, you can be terminated for any reason in states which have "Employment at Will" statutes (most states have this) unless you are covered by an employment contract or union contract. You could however file a law suit if you feel like you were the victim of discrimination.

Thank you, guys! Would a contingent offer be the same as an employee at will ?

Your employer likely has a policy against retaliation. Get familiar with the employee handbook. Also, is your performance pretty solid? Because if they fire you as retaliation but say it was actually due to performance, you would want some documentation showing you didn't have any performance issues.

No. That would be tantamount to dismissal. And dismissals should be based on just or valid causes. They can force you to resign only if you violated company rules or policies but not because of the fact that you are not happy with the pay.

My organization absorbed another and the former deputy PM became a branch head - a demotion. For org was more focused on tech dev and not delivering a product on a sked. New org is very focused on that. He is not a driving leader, but is the only one with the tech knowledge needed. He is retirement eligible. He has no heir apparent - previous org didn’t plan that way. If I move him under someone who is a driver - he retires and I lose the knowledge. If I don’t, we may not meet schedules. Advice?

How some people are clearing interview and then getting into a project even though they don't have any skills, no desire to learn new things, can't perform a very very simple task even though it's already documented clearly, totally burden on team members. They don't even try to do basic troubleshooting when they faced simple issues, rather asks stupid question to junior who is having only 1 years of experience and ask for solution.
I noticed this in every project I joined

Hello everyone,
Nice to meet you all. It seems like a great platforms to talk lot of unsaid rules of corporate world.
There is one think I was always wondering. While someone is leaving a company to other, why is it that it should be in such a secretive way. Why should we inform our colleagues officially on the last day of working? Won't it be good to inform in a week advance and leave with a proper goodbye from everyone? Or why shouldn't we inform on the day our resignation is accepted?

However, after doing the job for 2 months, I have been advised that we might not get the funding for the role and I might not get the raise and the title but my responsibilities will be the same.

Its a political minefield.
