If you have an offer to switch but with 2023 start, and you are in a toxic work environment, is there anything you can do to minimize risk of being PIP’ed or fired before new start date? Quitting early would probably raise red flags with new firm. Assume $ isn’t a huge prob

2023 is not far away. Just quit now and say you wanted a few weeks off before you started

Agreed, if you have the money, I would just leave personally. Not worth sticking around.

I agree with the comment above. 2023 is not that far away. I would hang in there and keep your head down until you can take the new role.

PIP usually doesn't show in your record. If you have a new offer, start using all your vacations and sick days. By the time they put you on PIP, it will be 2023, so don't worry about it.

Why are you assuming you're going to get fired? There's nothing much you can do about it but to do what you're expected to at work. Perform well so they have less reasons to fire you or get you PIP'ed.

I agree with A1. That would be the safest way out and the most logical excuse. It won't affect your record that much so there's nothing to worry about.

I was recently fired by a terrible boss at work. Afterwards, a friend of mine knows about this takes my boss’s side & stocks me on social media. This “friend” takes screenshots of my posts (previous work w/ ex boss) then sends them to my ex-boss telling her I’m stealing her listings. The whole office is involved in this mess & I clearly know it’s this “friend” that ruined my reputation at the office.
I wana confront this friend BUT she is the daughter of my husband’s boss.. what do I do?

Audit is the only job I’ve had, so trying to figure out what to do next is daunting. I’m still wanting to do acct but more in an analysis role if that makes sense. I want to use accting data to help mgmt make business decisions.

What roles are similar? I’ve mainly only looked at traditional acct roles so far but those seem boring

Hi everyone

I'm in a business development role based in Asia. May I get your thoughts/pointers on the CAIA?

I'm aware that the CAIA is not as popular in Asia compared to the CFA. From my knowledge, there are no CAIA holders in my current firm within the Asian region, despite dealing with alternative investments.

Would be happy to hear your thoughts regarding the CAIA, and study tips if you have any!
