Starting to interview for full time positions- how irrational would it be to ask to work from home one-two days a week if hired?

Anyone here willing to give a referral in Strategy Consulting / Risk Advisory? I am African (Nigerian) and I just got my EAD for my green card. Ok be honest, candidates. I really love this set of questions, I’ve been considering shifting my current interview style to these questions - I think they really give you an idea of who this person would be within the work setting. But the questions almost feel too deep for a recruiter to ask. What would you think if a recruiter took a different path and asked these questions instead of the usual ones? https://blog.shrm.org/blog/9-interesting-interview-questions-that-actually-reveal-a-lot-about-candidat
In case you never got to see the New York Times article about air quality in classrooms, I’m posting it here for you. It makes some very important points about creating the safest possible environment for students and teachers. 1. Open windows if it all possible 2. Place air purifier centrally 3. Don’t place fans in a way where the air is pointed at people Have a great year and keep yourself and your students safe! https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2021/02/26/science/reopen-schools-safety-ventilation.html
How do you respond to a teacher that is talking bad about you in front of staff and students as well as this teacher feels she needs to try and control your classroom as well
I feel like my classroom is really small. It’s an interior room, so there are no windows, which doesn’t help. I’m looking for suggestions that make my room feel larger and brighter. Thanks!
Ok…I’m curious. I pretty much have to beg, barter and steal to get supplies for my classroom. Do teachers in states with legal cannabis have this problem? It’s my understanding that sales tax from its purchase goes to schools, or is that all smoke and mirrors…No pun intended. 😉
I would like any information the good, bad, and ugly on Fountas and Pinnell Classroom. I'm curious about it's components, how you get everything in, if you use it all, overall anything you have. Thank
How long before it is okay to follow up with the HR on the results from a first round interview? Been over a week, and no word yet 😭
Does one referral have same impact as multiple in application process? Is it worth reaching out to people to try and get more than one referral or is there not that big of a difference?
Preparing to build a presentation for my panel interview. Any tips? Specific content I should have on the presentation besides answering the questions they provided? I’m so nervous and I really want and need this job
Is anyone available this weekend or Monday for a mock interview? It’s for a product sense interview (PM). Willing to throw in a Starbucks gift card
I took advantage of Verizon’s Black Friday deals and got myself the new iPhone yesterday. I’m AMAZED by all the neat things it can do. One of my favorites is that you can grab text from a picture and have it read aloud. This would be so helpful for my students with vision needs and those with reading disabilities. When do we think we’ll actually see this technology in the classroom? Can’t very well put “iPhone” on a students assistive tech section of their IEP 😂
Those who took on debt to get an MBA to join mbb, was it worth it? Career fulfillment-wise? Financially? Life-wise (assuming you’re older and have to juggle more responsibilities)?
Anybody boomerang here? Left PwC about 9 months ago and looking at going back… am I crazy? Currently at a boutique but I am doubtful of their future and their internal culture is horrible…
Looking to switch from Audit into another career path. However, just not sure what that would be. My long-term goal is to become a forensic accountant (minimum 10-15 years from now). Studying for the CPA exam, and once that is done I'd like to sit for the CFE exam. Current interests are in the private/corporate accounting industry (cost accounting, possibly tax, etc). Thoughts? Suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you!
My significant other (both 25) and I net around 250k in MCOL. We max out retirement accounts(401k,IRA, HSA), invest, and still have DI to travel, eat out, and buy what we want. I’m curious as to what people spend their money on?
Anyone have tips for the St. Regis NY? I’ve never stayed at a St. Regis, so wondering what to expect. I’ve heard the butler service can be really great, although no idea how to get the most of it. Any recommendations or ideas?
Are phone chargers and small electronics within reason covered under most expense policies?
Anyone in TCS Cargill project? Wanted to know about the technology being used (if new niche technologies are being adopted), work life balance, shifts etc. I am being offered aws/linux admin role
I love how strong our talent pool is. I don't love being rated "average". Even though that means on track for promotion, it's annoying.
I'm in an interesting position. I got an offer for an Associate manger (level 8) role at a tier 2 firm. I asked if bumping it up to level 7 (Manager) role is an option, and was basically told that it is if I really want to, but I should be careful what I wish for. SM basically told me that he thinks I will be a lot better set up for success in the long run if I were to start at level 8. What are your thoughts? I would be coming from a large ad agency where I'm an Account Director.
I’ve always maxed out my HSA. Have new plan options for 2022, almost identical for deductibles, copays, etc. First is completely covered by employer but no HSA contribution. Second would be $1680 premium for the year but comes with $2k HSA contribution form employer. Which would offer the better tax savings benefits? Instinct is to go with the second, but unsure tax wise what makes sense
Hey teachers! Have any of you ever used the program Transmath? It is a math program for secondary students. I am a high school inclusion special education teacher, and this year I am teaching a math class for some of my students using this program. I would love to hear if any of you have used it before and what it looks like in your classroom! Thank you!
Anyone take the VRE starting from Fredericksburg everyday? My husband and I like the town but wondering if this ride will be too exhausting. Will come off at Union, so no transfers.
Hi! I’m being offered a promotion to VP of product at a digital agency. It would be my first role at this level and I’m feeling really lost as to what I can negotiate/ ask for other than a higher salary. Any help or advice would be really appreciated!
Looking for a Remote position or Local to Northern New Jersey please let me know if you hear of anything !

How do you gauge how much time there is for a market size within a case? I used to over-segment my framework/assumptions. Now I’ve kept to 5-10 mins, but recently bombed an interview because....
