Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

Hi Fishers, I want to pivot my career into management consultant. I am currently working as a Market research analyst with 1 YOE. Can someone please suggest me how or where should I start to build my career in management consulting at Big 4.
Also, please suggest entry level jobs that I will be eligible for with skills in Strategy, primary and secondary research, and competitor analysis.
Thanks in advance!

Did they guarantee (in writing) it would prevent layoffs? Did they guarantee (in writing) your job would be safe? If not, don’t do it. Put yourself first, no one else is going to.
Are people above me taking a cut? If they are, sure. If they aren't, nope.
We did that and are still having layoffs. I’d take an even higher pay cut to save jobs.
Being asked to “volunteer” for a salary reduction seems like a strange request. They cut my salary without any warning (I’m the sole provider and a mom so will be working harder for less money which sucks but - I have a job). Asking employees to make this decision out of a sense of solidarity when you don’t know where that money is going seems a bit ... fraught.
No
I was and I did. 9 months minimum.
Took 25% off (upper mgmt). No layoffs. We're back at 100% after 3 monts.
Yes
Of course
Yes, if it applies to senior staff across the board.
Yes.
Took a 20% cut. No layoffs yet.
I don’t think you need to volunteer... if you’re asked it’s probably not really asking. It’s more like telling. What have people experienced so far? How has it been done? Through a courtesy email or you just find out when your paycheck is lower?
Exact same thing happened to me. I was OK to do it, but if it’s not really voluntary, don’t say it’s voluntary. Assholes.
Yes
Totally.
I’ve done it. When working at an executive level at a small agency. It stretched on with no end in sight. That left me salty and was one of the reasons I moved on.
Absolutely. I already recommended all leadership take a 20 % hit. I’d go first.
