If you were fortunate to be given the option of up-skilling in either (can only pick one) Cybersecurity or Commercial Analytics (the modeling and predicting of sales trends), which would you pick and why? Essentially being given the opportunity to become an SME, moving forward, in whichever of the two options I pick. Need help deciding.

I'd go into cybersecurity. It's only going to get worse for a lot of financial services from here so the need is going to be astronomical in the near future

like

Agreed with D1, your chances of getting a job and a higher salary are much more likely within cybersecurity

like

I would go for Cybersecurity personally, way more demand

I’d pick commercial analytics. It’s a more diverse field, and I don’t feel comfortable working around sensitive information.

TL1 and ITS1 the same person?

I'm so confused

How’s the nyc apartment inventory in Jan-Feb in terms of prices and options? The market is just insane right now, so wondering if I should stay in my luxury 1bd in jersey city until Jan and then look for a place in the city? Would be paying 3K/ month in Jersey until then for a 1bd apt. Looking for studio/1bed in midtown with doorman, elevator, etc. I could find something of the same price in the city, but I feel like broker fees and city taxes would also add up.

Is it normal for a Product Owner to lay out specs for how a feature should work?

I thought that was my job as the ux designer to figure out the best way to solve a need. But I’m getting handed projects where the PO, and sometimes the senior designer has laid out exactly what should happen (components used, flow, etc) to design a feature. It’s really frustrating because I don’t know if I’m supposed to be speaking up on what I think or just do the UI work I’m asked to.

I have a great experience as a Customer Support Anlyst. I was providing support in Access, Risk, Trust and Safety, and Compliance areas. I worked also on a daily basis on those cases via email support , mostly KYC. I applied for 2 different banks and progressed to the nextatage , but they never answered me after that :( I am applying for 2 months for different roles and I am constantly getting rejections no matter I have required skills and impressive work experience how they said :(

Can anyone provide a referral to Spotify? Happy to share my resume and talk about the role

Help desired from anyone who made the switch into tech for product management or product marketing management:

Currently an Account Manager/Project Manager at PR Comms agency (1yr) and want to make the switch back to tech.

I have sales (both tech + retail), marketing, social media and account management experience (5 yrs total additional exp). I’m finding I’ll need a PMP or a Product Management cert to “have more experience” to get back in.

Any advice from those who got into tech for PM/PMM?
