If you were going to train someone new to account management 3 things to set them up for success, what would those things be? For me I think they’d be:
1. How to comprehend and relay feedback
2. Championing the work and pushing back
3. How to best work with each department and set the team up for success

Those are broad - curious if you’d go more specific!

For a brand spanking new Account Manager it would be to master the fundamentals. I’m not expecting someone new to the biz to jump into interpreting feedback and championing the work. It’s about the details, operations, understanding how the agency works, learning the financials, etc. Setting them up for success isn’t selling the work (yet). It’s making the fundamentals to second nature that selling the work is what you can focus on later.

Learning to look ahead and anticipate issues and set client expectations. Client management is a big part!

I really frustrated....I joined D*C on 2019 with around 2.3 LPA after that pandamic with no hike spend 2.4 yrs then got offer in Acc with 3.3 fixed and varaible pay 40 k... I satisfied when joined and spend here now almost 1 yr without any single appreaciation and with very less take home like around 24 k ..But here with satisfied job and next to TL level worked on transtion project but i feel even if they gave 20 % hike also my take home salary will never cross 30 k..Need suggestion

A producer I work with routinely misses deadlines, sets new ones, and then even misses their revised deadlines. A part of me blames the vendors they work with, but another part feels it’s their job...

I am stressing over growing as I’m slowly but surely realizing I am a more “executional” person vs. “strategic” person. How do I push myself and change the way I think? Or should I just give up now?
