You are running out of things to talk about on here. Go watch tv.
Wth is a moderate plane crush
As my dad (a pilot) would say, any landing you can walk away from is a good one.
I don’t think that exists unless you count sliding off the runway or something. Crash = death pretty much as far as planes are concerned.
You don’t. Generally, for most crashes, victims (or their families, depending on how serious the crash was) are given between 5-50k USD (not in terms of a credit, obviously) and the airline puts out multiple public statements. No one thinks “what status can I make the airline give me?” If you want anything past what the airline offers in a situation like this, you head to court.
If a plane crash survivor doesn’t gain perspective on what really matters in life and is concerned about milking the airline then either 1) Plane crash happened decades ago in which case it is too late to ask for anything, or 2) The survivor has had a serious psychological impairment he/she is unaware of.
I was on a US Airways plane a couple of years back where we had a gears up landing. Offer was $500 voucher take it or leave it. 🤣
What if you get sucked out of the airplane? How many years of status do you get for that ??
Omg why are you asking this
OP give details of what happened !
EY1, passengers on the WN flight with the uncontained engine failure that lead to a death were compensated. Crash =/= death in all cases, survival odds have improved significantly due to better technology and more training
Little known fact is that the true ending of Lost is Jack waking up to discover he was only given AA Advantage gold for 12 months and 3 day passes for Gogo.
Milk that shit
Yeah guess it depends on your definition of crash as well. Eg I think the Hudson was a landing, just very unplanned.
Ey1, your odds of survival are inversely proportional to your angle of arrival. So long as you are sunny side up, and a controlled arrival, many crashes where the aircraft is destroyed are quite survivable.
I have actually thought about this before, and yes my reaction was that I would ask for lifetime status and free airfare. I seem to recall reading an article about this once and the actual compensation survivors got was way lower than I would have thought
I have been involved with a number of ‘plane crashes’ up to and including incidents with total loss of airframe. It will depends in the contents of the NTSB report. The vast overwhelming majority of scenarios, its no big deal and shit happens, get over yourself. There are nowhere near enough details here for us to give you anything useful to work with.
Free drinks for life. I’ll get my due
