Its interesting to see how IWD is celebrated across the globe. I lived in Italy for several years and was amazed that my town celebrated IWD by hiring male strippers to work the local trattoria.
I accepted a job at a big agency as a Sr. CW and signed my contract. The next day someone from that same office reached out about an ACD position (obviously didn’t know I was already joining)...
I'm interviewing with a smaller tech company, and they are being very evasive about things like comp and benefits. Think it's a red flag?
Hey 🐠 - I’m early in my pregnancy and interviewing bc I’m afraid of being laid off soon. How can I find out from the firms I interview with whether they have minimum tenure requirements to qualify for paid maternity leave (e.g., need to be at firm 1 year before qualifying)? Obviously, this is the most important benefit for me and I will not be revealing my pregnancy during the interview process. Anyone been through this and have any advice? TIA

Anyone else considering not going to school this fall? I was honestly so excited but now I feel like 2 years being in a school environment is going to be a nuisance. I was accepted in R1 and life for me now is so different than it was then (due to health and family during covid) and I’m more depressed about having to stop my life for 2 years. Feels like all the excitement I had before is gone at this point.
I think I dodged a bullet... interviewing with a company for a TAM position over the last couple of months, and went through four rounds of interviews. Spoke with the team and really clicked, (cont)

I’ve noticed a lot of Big 4 decks are really focused on using icons, creating visual complexity through interesting shapes and patterns and cool color schemes, whereas all of the McKinsey decks I’ve seen are like simple bar charts with 4 shades of blue and a one line takeaway. Is this accurate and if so why? I have my own theory but curious what other people think.
