If you were made CEO of your firm for a day, what one thing would you change?

Create a decentralize, pod nased model appoarch and given practice areas autonomy to run their own businesses.

They control their own P&L's and owe a resource cost back to firm. Whatever they earn on top of that is theirs to use accordingly be it investment, training, bonus, hiring, etc.

Too many levels of beauracracy above those actually delivering that provide little to no value.

So if you aren't adding value then you will get cut loose.

Change the model so that there is a different practice for generalists who are not expected to become experts in anything but are competent at adapting to multiple projects. Then I would put more emphasis on ensuring that all specialists focus on building eminence in their domain or are transitioned out. The current approach puts good generalists on projects they won't succeed on and wastes opportunities for true specialists to build eminence.

Looking for some insight. I have almost 20 years experience in professional setting, 15 years progressive people leader positions in Contact center type operations. I decided to make a career change, focusing more on the talent acquisition experience I have. I took a recruiter role…and pretty big pay cut 6 months ago. What type of salary should I be expecting with the years of experience I do have, although not specifically in a TA role?

Hey Fishbowl!

I been in a real catch 22 about a job offer. Currently I’m an Enterprise SDR at Anaplan. Before that I was a Commercial MDR at DocuSign and an Account Executive at UberEATS.

As an SDR at Anaplan its looking really promising but the base salary is a bit ehh for Seattle - $52k. OTE looks promising. Full benefits and what not. The startup is a building materials startup - Biiibo. They are offering $80k a year. Series A - no benefits and equity, working with SMB a lot. Yes or No?

Getting huge cultural shock @tcs..In infy everything was at your fingertips, had apps installed for everything, every process related thing was very easy.. but here in tcs you are touching your ears from behind.Managers,TPDs and persons taking project interviews have no collaboration..They don't even look at emoloyee base location while calling...Not expected from a so called IT Giant ..
Looks like need to switch again after 1 year
