If you were offered a position in a boutique law and corporate law firm, which would you take?

Hi! The organization I have been interviewing for has recently put all roles on a hiring freeze BUT decided to offer me a contract role until it lifts (ETA Q1, 2023). My question is what would be reasonable compensation (full time 40 hrs, weekly).

The role is Sr. Digital Marketing & Strategy Analyst for med device company. I have 10+ YOE with undergraduate in visual communications and masters in Information Technology. TIA

I have recently resigned from Deloitte India and joined Bain Capability Network, I was taking a base of 6.7 LPA in DI and started working with BCN with base of 8.55 LPA, Now I got to know that another individual from Deloitte got selected in same team in Bain for same role ,and position with same base in DI , but been offered 10.5 LPA by bain since he had offer from other organization and he managed to negotiate to have 10.5 LPA base.
I am little bit disheartened 😐

Any ideas/views ??

Hi all. I started a new role with a company I’ve been with for 2 years. The role is very much an SME role and can be quite boring sometimes. When hired I was told that this role would do a lot of different projects and skys the limit but after 7 months, I’ve been doing 1 project and when asking about role expansion essentially told to stay in my lane. My first thought was performance issues but manager confirmed not that. It’s getting really boring and need more engagement. What should I do?

Does anyone else feel that we’re being told “everyone is hiring” but no one is ACTUALLY hiring? More so, putting people through the ringer then saying “we’re on a hiring freeze/position put on hold”. People are not just candidates you put in your back pocket for a rainy day as much as agency’s may think they’re doing a justice by adding you to the “pipeline”. Just a ton of corporate buzz words all leading to “this job is on hold for now”. Recruiting has become a joke of a position

I’m only 7 weeks and I haven’t been sleeping well for the last 3 weeks. I go to pee every couple hours and I can’t find a comfortable position to sleep. I want to work remotely, but am needing ideas for what to put on my resume. I’ve been an RN for 15 years and have worked mainly in hospitals: med surg, and some work in LTC, SNF, ALF, hospice. I have a year of teaching nursing students in clinicals and labs, and some lecture teaching. Also, I have done regional advising at a call center for 7 months. Just how to put this on a resume to “sell” myself seems challenging.

Looking to pivot from biotech to big tech in a less technical role (bizops, analytics, implementation manager) . I have a degree from Stanford in Biology (c/o 2021) and experience leading technical client implantations, but feel like companies just see my degree isn’t finance/CS/ statistics, and throw out my application.
