Money!

As someone who just did the opposite, money for sure, but also a confirmation of the team support you would have. Just moved from a small firm (50ish EEs) to ACN. And I already see a world of difference from what my prior team was able to provide.

like

Culture, flexibility and total comp package. Definitely the ability to be agile and get things done at a smaller firm efficiently are appealing.

I could speak about this from a cloud software perspective in Human Capital (Oracle HCM). We have a lot of consultants who have come from the big 4 looking for something more flexible with us. Much less on-site and more work/ life balance.

like

Not much, flexibility and not having to deal with corporate hierarchy

I'd love to chat if you're interested!

Tried it and left within 9 months. Might as well go into industry

Work life balance, flexibility and decent benefits would be the reasons for me.

For all of you saying money--is that assuming all other drivers (hours, travel etc) stay they same? Are there other table stakes that are more important than the $?

Absolutely, but money is still a top consideration. It isnt an either/or for most people. We work for compensation ...

Where

I’d love to learn more about your organization. Let me know if you want to chat! Thanks

Salary transparency, WLB, good clients, better colleagues, opportunity for advancement.

P.s. I still apply to these because what's the worst that could happen... right?

Do Amdocs hire lateral candidates or do they hire internally?

I've applied to Amdocs close to 45th time and always they reply with this email

"Thanks so much for your interest in the Technical & Business Operations Analyst (Pune) (167693) position at Amdocs.

Unfortunately, this position has now been filled."

Why do they then keep sending that these jobs might fit your interest?

As I'm moving to a new role in a small company, I have a doubt about my salary structure like the Basic salary part is only 20,000 while my take home is 62k after all deductions.

I'm concerned because the leave encashment & other things totally depends on the basic salary.

Are there not any rules for the Basic salary to be at a certain % of CTC or it depends totally on the company?

Also PF deductions they are offering only 1800 p.m but considering 20000 basic it should be 12% of 20000 right?
