Marsh & McLennan I am moving 2 hours from my office. My manager says i have to come 2 days to office. When i come to the office its only me and couple of other people. No one seems to care about coming to office. When i asked manager if i can work remote i was told that its for my career development. Can you guys tell in Canada which companies are offering remote opportunities?

Depends on the task. You could always just ✨️ask✨️

Your reasonable suggestions have no place here!!!
1) Ask them “Do you have a general timeframe in mind?”
Or
2) Manage up = Tell them when you think you can get to it. For example, “this week I have X,Y, Z to do. I should be able to get to this early next week and have something for your review by mid week. Does this sound good?”
This is my usual approach too. This also applies to my client requests, if they say not urgent, I’ll suggest a timeline based on my workload and availability.
1. Ask.
2. Personally I'd expect something in about 2 weeks.
Three years
It really does just depend on the task, however usually when a boss of mine tells me it’s not time sensitive, I just try to either ask if they had a reasonable expectation of when they want it/or otherwise I just throw out a day or timeframe and see if it works for them.
Could be 2 weeks, could be 6-12 months. It really depends on what it is and what comes up.
Could be a couple days, weeks, months, quarters… really depends on what’s driving the ask, what it’ll be used for, and any timing needs around those. So as others have said, ask.
I would say a week. Maybe 2.
Depends on what it is and how much time it would normally take to accomplish. I would start with 1-2 weeks. But if possible, I would try to figure out what may be driving a deadline for the task or overall project, and then work back from there...
One week
Never.
