If you track ovulation and have sex at the right time, you are as likely to conceive as when you have your own personal “normal” ovulation. Delayed ovulation is annoying because you have to wait longer for your “at bats” but when you do get an egg it’s just as good :)
I found the cheap amazon OPKs (easy at home, pregmate) to be the best way to track and predict ovulation, plus far less expensive than the clear blue ones at the drug store.
This paper shows that there is no change in fertility based on timing of the fertile window in the menstrual cycle: https://www.bmj.com/content/321/7271/1259
In terms of stress, I don’t have as much of an insight. It’s possible that stress may interfere with implantation, but women conceive in many deeply stressful situations (think: war zones, weather crises, similar) so I suspect the effect would at worst be pretty minor, and probably varies from woman to woman.

Anecdotally, I’ve been pregnant 2 times. Both were conceived during high stress months 😂 and we were doing infertility treatment so we were trying HARD every month for several months. So I don’t think a high stress month prevents/lessens your chances.

I think perspective matters here - if you are trying to get pregnant, you may be less likely to pinpoint your ovulation and it may take longer to get pregnant. If you are trying to avoid pregnancy, you may be more likely to get pregnant mistakenly because again - you cant pin point when to avoid sex.
So you arent really more or less fertile, your timing just could be off.
Which are you shooting for?

Either way, I think tracking everything as much as possible will help you narrow things down. If you arent already Basal body temp is a very useful piece of the puzzle to track as well.
