Farewell gift ideas to boss who’s leaving company?

I'm a cashier. We just got a new manager, and she's making things really hard for us. She starts work at 4:30am and leaves around 2:30pm, but she still expects us to stay until 6pm and work on the weekends! She gives us really long shifts and doesn't give us much time for breaks. And when we ask her about it, she gets mad.

I'm worried that if I speak up, she'll make my life even harder. I don't want to lose my job because of this—do you guys have any advice?

My previous manager would track us by hours daily, made a fuss everytime anything stretched and guilt us for that and the unplanned leave too unless it was COVID. Hinted him a lot of time, this is problematic but apparently he considered it "standard practice for agile".

Now 8/10 teammates have switched within < 1 year of project start (6-7 months with him) which tbh had good work in our opinion and even team was fun to work with even though none of us ever met in person.

This is a genuine question for people in Texas: what do you view as the role of state government? I ask because it seems like Texas can’t manage it’s own electrical grid system, yet, I would think this is one of the most fundamental and basic aspects of state government. I’ve been working as a mortgage professional for over 3 years now and have found it unfulfilling and draining, even with the industry where it’s currently at. Would returning to school to pursue an MBA or other masters degree afford me the opportunity to make a switch to PE? Have had a few friends in PE and some in consulting say the same. Currently making 180-220k a year as a MLO, but the work is stale and looking for a potential exit. Any advice?

2.5 yrs into career, LTM with T2 M&A practice with 10-15 DDs under my belt.

To break into PE:
1) Continue recruiting for A1 roles from DD heavy T2 shop
2) Take lateral offer from BCG PIPE (would be 3rd consulting role in 2.5 yrs) to get more exposure
