I’m in it for the long haul. I keep pretty detailed Tx records, so am able to set specific price points. It varies somewhat, as I’ve bought consistently over the past ~3 years, but generally follows: at a ~10x from my cost basis, I’ll cash out ~10% of that coin. That way I’m able to get to a point to only play with house money but keep ~90% of my initial investment in

Question reminds me of this post: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345065.0

So yeah, that's more or less the idea, i even considered x% at $20k then hold until $40k. Just haven't settled on x. Prior sell offs were for defined needs (pay off debt, fund IRA) and I don't have any other than wanting to lock in.

Thanks for posting this, I’m in a similar situation. But with the hype of the upcoming year my goal is to pay the full cost of the coin and give myself a tip before switching strategies. 10x would be incredible, but the market is unpredictable and major money jumping in will change the game. I have decided to be less of a trader and more of a ‘chad investor’ check my portfolio 1x every two weeks or a quarter.

Keep a steady hand through the inevitable upcoming correction and you will achieve cryptozen, where the price is merely interesting and losing 60% of your net worth overnight is a hilarious exercise in economics lol. I know the whole "past performance" mantra but I'm pre-2013 and this feels very familiar. So want to strategize before it crashes again.

Partners: How do some partners get fired? I know that on the surface it is due to their performance, but i am curious if you have any data points or observations on any underlying drivers. I work for a global firm, and though most partners I know are lifers, i personally have worked with a couple partners who were counseled out. They were seemingly good, competent consultants good at structuring problems. They cared about junior consultants. Didnt see any issues with clients..

Opinions needed: I’m involved in BPN (black professionals network) at work. We try to have events and touch points each quarter, but obviously because of COVID we haven’t been able to do so. I am trying to brainstorm ideas for connecting virtually (email newsletters, zoom calls, etc) and possible topics to be included and discussed so that it won’t end up in just a negative venting session. I would like to keep it positive and upbeat. Ideas/suggestions welcome!

United Platinum here - got an offer to pay ~$6k for upgrade to 1K. Thoughts on if it’s worth it? Already belong to Club (United Infinite) and have CLEAR credit through Amex Platinum. Still have 40 plus points from hitting Platinum last year. Unlikely to travel for business until late 2Q at earliest but have 2-3 transcontinental flights planned for summer and 1 transatlantic for fall. Maybe another 1-2 shorter trips this year as well. I imagine I’d use my extra plus points on all these.
