Hi All,
I joined Tech Mahindra for 5 days only and didn't find suitable timing for my project and emailed resignation mail to manager and HR. After that HR asked me to resign over portal but at the same time blocked my portal. After requesting many times they didn't unblock my portal and pretended like they want to unblock but there is some issue going on and marked my profile absconded. I have cleared fnf but they are not providing reliving letter but added pf amount also. What to do?

I saw in the news that Google is increasing minimum PTO to 20 days. What is the full detail on this (e.g., is more PTO earned at benchmarks like 3 and 5 years as before? Did the max. PTO increase?) ? Does the PTO policy cover sick days or are those separate? Accenture’s PTO is both vacation and sick leave in one, and it’s a total bummer. I started with like 16 days.

Any tips? Good resources?
OP, it's valid for SM to expect you to notify them of you're going to go over the budgeted # before you do. That's how profitably is managed, and frankly if you're working more than 40 hours but they can't see how you're delivering the expected work in that time, that's how they can perform that control function. At the same time if they tell you they need to do what it takes to get X done and leave it open ended, you definitely should bill those hours. Just be sure you're keeping a daily log of what you're doing and cya by telling managers as soon as you think you'll be going over (not after!)
You should bill what you work. If PMO has a problem, they will let you know before any action is taken. Be ready to substantiate the hours you logged, remember that you get in late on Mondays and leave early on Thursdays, and Fridays are usually busy in the mornings only. PMO knows that too.
But if you keep doing it probably rolled off
Keep escalating if they ask you not to bill. Not on you, it’s on them
I love how the orientation at every firm tells you that you must put in the correct amount of hours you worked. And when you do what they say, they give you shit for doing it.
You get to have a conversation with your M/SM where they tell you to charge less
Make sure you can substantiate all the hours you are charging. He can’t say no if you keep a detailed log of what you are doing. But be proactive and let him know before you use the hours.
KPMG1 very good advice
As a Senior Manager, I have some insight. I would ask a few questions. Of myself, did I underestimate the amount of effort to complete the project? Am I managing the scope correctly? Is the client pulling my resources in other directions? Did I staff the right person for this role? If I cannot explain why more hours are required than scoped, I have no choice but to look at you. I have to manage to a budget in order to hit my expected and communicated margin. If there is a mismatch in ability, I will make that change.
Discuss with your M/SM about spreading your weekly hours total. Like, if you work 8-5 Mon-Thurs, see if you get a half day on Friday
I had a chat with senior con..i did not bring down hours charged because i work that much(even weekends).....then SM called me..he told me to tell him everytime I charge above 40...which is like every week...so absurb...thats why I asked if i am gonna get fired ...ill stop that..no other option...roll off is fine...
