In most of the game modes on Blooket, strategic game play is more important than knowing the content. Therefore, platforms like Quizlet or Kahoot do a better job with the academic piece. Kids enjoy the game of Blooket more, but I think they get more out of the others I mentioned. Personally, I’m a big fan of the music in the Fishing Frenzy mode on Blooket.
Of course, the study set being used is always the most important element to any of these online game platforms.
Have you tried Gimkit? The paid version is pretty awesome all around. You can get a free trial for 60 days or something.

But i like that aspect. No one wants to play the games with smartypants who wins everytime. So this gives some others a chance to win. And just like in life, the smartest Doesnt a always win. Sometimes its a combination of all your skills that get you the job.
I wasn't aware of this but I'll certainly look into it! It looks like a great resource!
I used both and each has its Pros&Cons. The kids do like Blooket better because of the interactive game/competition piece. I say if you think it’s steering your kids in the wrong direction then don’t use it. It’s like any other platform, resource, app, website, etc. out there. Nothing is perfect to everyone.
One of my student's showed me online that Blooket encourages lying, cheating and is not educational. Yet it's popular with kids and teachers alike. Is there any truth to this? Are there drawbacks? B/c personally I like it. Here is the site: https://www.commonsense.org/education/website/blooket-teacher-review/5091385
Also, there are plenty of other reviews on this site, many positive. This is just one teacher’s personal review of the app, kind of like an Amazon product review… 🤷🏻♀️
This is not true. I Chose ELA or Social Studies subjects. It’s good for reviewing before testing too.
I wish there was more information available about it. I feel like I don't really know what I'm getting into.
DCMS1 - It’s a free, fun, more gamified quiz game. Similar to Kahoot! The kids like that it’s more gamified, and that they can go at their own pace.

Blooket and gimkit are amazing
I'd suggest trying Quizizz too!! It also is a go at your own pace game for review. :)
