Does anybody have any advice when applying to postings with many applicants and getting noticed? The company I am interested in is Figma, and though I reached out to a few technical recruiters after applying through LinkedIn, I am wondering if there might be something more I could do that maybe I’m not thinking about. Also along those lines, if anybody here works for figma I would love the chance to connect
Need help from Amazon 🐠 Anyone interviewed for Amazon L5 BIE in GSF supply chain team? The JD said basic qualifications include data modeling, ETL, data warehousing and optimization. Any idea or experience how they will test these topics? Asking about related experience? Or show some data and ask how you will deal with that? Or like a case study, given a senario and ask how you think in order to tackle problem? Need advice/idea/experience urgently. Thanks in advance.Amazon @BIE

FAANG is the new IBM, think forward.
I think it’s Stripe, Robinhood, Databricks, AirBnB etc.
Microsoft and Amazon are as good as Cisco now, low paying and too much politics.
Having worked at IBM previously, there is a world of difference between microsoft and IBM. They don’t even feel like the same industry
Definitely not MSFT. FB is still respected
A lot of mediocre people here
Lol I don't think Amazon would count, have interviewed a few folks from Amazon and I was shocked to see how sad their answers turned out. Hyped for no reason.
Also Google and NFLX only. FB, AMZN are sad.
It's a moot point unless you're deciding between offers, how about applying to all of the above, and see what fleshes out.
I'm on the sales side, but it took me 4 years of persistence to get on at Microsoft, though maybe software engineers have an easier go of it due to the larger number of available positions.
My entire career has been in support of and related to Microsoft technologies, I appreciate where the company is headed, and it was the best next step in my career. Add to that the significant bump in total comp and a more lucrative career trajectory, it was the best thing that could have happened to my family and outlook for retirement.
Google.
I don’t work for any of those now (ex-Amazon) but I’d say Facebook. Just because of the name. But it all depends on what do you actually do there.
Because Facebook is perceived as straight up evil
None of them provide a flex. PayPal does 😛
