I've seen lots of creatives put work like this in their book, with a note that says they were responsible for concept, writing, selling, etc., but didn't produce. As long as you're honest about your role in the project I don't see why not. It's the same as being one of multiple writers on a large campaign—put it in your book but be clear about what you did and didn't do.
👆🏻Agree with Anomaly. Freelancers often aren't kept on through production, so how else can they keep their book fresh? For a FL creative, their livelihood depends on it.
The work we as FTEs do isn't technically ours either, at least from an IP standpoint. What's the difference?
In an ideal world yes, but I know all the freelancers that work with us sign an agreement saying anything they do is "ours" (meaning network).
