I’m a young female attorney and I wish I wasn’t so sensitive. Being in law has shown me that I need to have thicker skin. Anytime a partner or senior associate talks to me with a stern tone i always feel like I want to cry. Also I’ve been told I’m not aggressive enough with opposing counsel. I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with me and I feel like being a litigator isn’t my thing. Any tips on how to cope with these feelings or how to seem aggressive without being rude?

Today, I got a call from Delloite India and HR says that she can only give 30% even though I have mentioned the current offer with 70% hike on my current CTC. HR instinct is that I should be ok with lower CTC part since the offer is from Delloite. Obviously I am interested to work for Big4 but does it really worth it? Would like to know your take on this? The position is for Data Engineer role.

Hello! I’m only about 4 weeks pregnant, so super early. I am about to go on vacation and thankfully did a quick search on some “dos and donts” for the first trimester. I am v disappointed to see I shouldn’t do saunas and hot tubs as my vacation was really planned to be all relaxation. But it got me thinking, could you all share the most surprising pregnancy do or don’t you’ve encountered? I feel like I just need a master list cause there seem to be so many limitations 😭

I am long distance with my boyfriend and am feeling really unsettled about our relationship. We’ve been together 9 months, and long distance for 4/ 9. I love him and am lonely while distanced, but super happy with our relationship. I’m unsettled about the future and if we will be happy together in the future. I do not want to move to where he is located and he does not want to move here. He definitely wants kids, and I’m younger and more unsure. He’s a suburbs guy, and I want lavish city life.

Already at MBB. Went to T10 undergrad. Dream exit is health tech. Applied R1 and only got into Kellogg. It sure would be fun to explore and network for 2 years.
