I’m mid-level in my HR career at my current company and an upcoming Master’s graduate. Studying for my SHRM-CP too. How did you make the transition to that next level? Is going into cyber at a firm like Accenture or Deloitte for a year and then trying to bounce to a tech company immediately after a realistic goal or a bad idea? Is there anything I should keep in mind if I try this?

I started my first in-house role about 4 months ago and I don’t think it’s the right fit. I love the no billable hours aspect, but otherwise I miss the structure of being at a firm. How long do you think I should try to stick this out before I move on? I want to give the job a real shot - and i know the transition to in-house can be jarring…but I also don’t want to spend too much time in a job that is a wrong fit.

Has anyone bought/ done the HRCI Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion in HR Management? I already have my PHR, but I’m looking to gain more knowledge/skills and beef up my resume. Is it worth doing? The course is $239 and you get 12 Recert credits with it.

Third year associate at an AmLaw 100 firm (non Frag or BAL, but doesn’t pay market), and I feel that growth is severely limited in this field.

US vs. EIMEIA cyber market - anyone who can give insights about differences in terms of types of work they’re doing, priorities of clients long term and areas of interest? Currently working in a role in which i support a lot of BD on EMEIA level, but would be interested to move to a US role. Saw some people here criticising partnership or alliance strategies in the US quite a bit whereas I have the impression that other regions might not rely on that as much. Work for a big4 in cyber in Europe.

It feels like my pay and title are lower than my scope of duties. I manage Youtube channels and do all strategy, planning, talent management, rework content for socials, reporting, graphic design, + a bunch of other stuff. Do you think I should be something like Video Content Manager? A Strategist maybe? My company doesn't have career pathing & I think they'd be happy to keep giving me more work with the same pay. To be frank I love to work with Accenture as the hike percentage is pretty decent when compared to other companies also I am comfortable working with Accenture.
