Yes. Having enough for retirement isn’t hard if you have the discipline to follow through and actually save, in the sense that having a six pack isn’t hard if you have the discipline to eat right and stay active.
The problem is people want to eat that donut, or buy that fancy new car. If you max out your 401k and ira, you’ll most likely be fine.
Donuts are cheap, tho. The real life hack is making coffee at home.

Time is on your side. I didn’t start saving for retirement until late 30’s. I yolo’d throughout my 20’s spending money on car mods and other useless things. Don’t be that guy.
I agree you sound like you are doing fine. It is a balancing act. You want to make sure you have enough for retirement but want to live now also. If you are maxing 401k and Roth IRA at 26, you are ahead of most.
Who knows how long i can continue to Max our ROTHs though. One with kids being around the corner and then us making over the 200k limit probably next year.
I also have an options account that i never put money into, just what i started with and I’ve grown it 50% this year.
Did you mean she has a solo 401k or a traditional Ira. If it is a 401k she could also do a backdoor Roth and not have prorata tax
