If you're negotiating a start date with a new firm and you need to give your current firm 2 weeks and want some time to yourself before starting, but you already have a vacation planned in the early fall, is it an issue to take 2-3 weeks before starting as long as you're clear that you have a pre-planned trip?

29 - single since 3L year. After spending a few years working on myself, I’m re-committing to dating. But ppl with “normal” jobs have apparently decided to only do 1st dates on weeknights? Bc weekends sacrifice their “quality” time? I work til 11 every night and would literally have to find coverage/take time off to pull off a weeknight date. My sister died one month ago and I’ve been really struggling both at work and personally. My work was very supportive at me taking time off, but I’m having difficulty adjusting back.
