Finished my MBA and recieved a Senior Consultant offer from EY (3YOE). The pay (90 base+ 10 signing) is what I was making in manufacturing ops pre-MBA (with a guaranteed raise of 10% every year). Negotiating the pay right now but is it worth switching to consulting and taking this "pay cut"? Is the big4 grind worth?

7 YOE, fresh MBA grad in July. I am currently making base 180K a year before taxes (comes about to 9.6K a month after tax). I am aiming for base 200K+ for my next role. The first interview call I’ve gotten is for an Apple hardware PM - full time MBA grad role. Would this meet my salary expectation? Or is it worth it to take the salary cut and work back up?

Don't have the financial stability to take a loan for an MBA and hence had to drop some renouned admits this year ( Think top IIM's) due to family circumstances. Why does Columbia get hate?

Anyone have any suggestions for accounting, finance, or data analysis books or online material to prepare for an MBA? I’m accepted to LBS but my background is in entrepreneurship so I know a lot of random stuff but I want to be prepared for the required core courses.

Yale, stern, haas, or tuck for IB given I don’t have a finance background (engineering undergrad from top 10 engineering program and 4 yoe in consulting)

What does an 800 GMAT do you for you? Can it get you interviews at M7 schools despite being mediocre in other areas? Wondering if it’s special given its rarity vs 780 or 790. I’ve been getting ~780 on practice tests but wondering if the extra 20 points are worth it. Goal is HSW but would settle for any M7.
