i’ll ask since no one has. will the country wide protests have an effect on the second peak of COVID-19? have you seen any changes in your hospitals projections yet?

I think the honest answer is yes, there will likely be an uptick in infections, hopefully not to the degree as some of our initial peaks now with the majority of protestors masking. I’m nervous but I also support and think the protests are necessary

I/we (a group of us in Houston) have the same question(s) and curiosities. I suspect, at least in Houston, we are at the earliest mid incubation point for new exposures that might be linked to lack of social distancing/mask use among the crowds. By early next week (here) we will likely see begin to see any impact in case numbers related to the events. Our largest gathering/march was yesterday - it was a peaceful march and rally, and consisted of greater than 65,000 participants...this makes me more than a little concerned about possible spikes in future cases.

Parents of newborns, how are you approaching having visitors during Covid? I’m pregnant and trying to figure out what are reasonable expectations of my family and friends around visitation/holding the baby (anything from washing hands when they come over to quarantining before visiting and holding the baby). I want to make sure we’re protecting ourselves/the baby and our older family members who are at a higher risk. Our families live nearby so I anticipate they may want to visit frequently

Conflicted on choosing recommenders. Am in FDD so it’s not like I have a constant direct supervisor…(work with a different team on a deal by deal basis) due to covid drop in the market I was pivoted to another service line for 6 months (eg working capital, restructuring, commercial diligence, etc) and am thinking of getting a supervisor from this since it was longer term than the typical deal (2-3 weeks). Does anyone have advice on this?
