Hi. How many hours do you work per week? What field and city? Do you work after hours/weekends?

How often do you have downtime at work? My projects come in hot and then quiet, sometimes for weeks. I keep myself occupied but was wondering if that’s standard for this industry.

I entered law school in my late 30's as a second career. I have strong pre-law experience (Executive of small company, 60 employees, $4m budget, MBA, etc.) and law school credentials (Top 10%, Managing Editor of Law Review). I'm willing to make less coming out of school than I did before, but want to ultimately land as in-house counsel with a decent wlb and make $200k+. I'm looking for advice on the best path to get there and how long I can expect it to take.

Curious about non-US attorneys: are you working the crazy hour weeks most of us in the US do? Or are your weeks closer to 40 hours? I hear a lot about the working hour caps, vacation requirements, etc in Europe/Canada. Curious if that flows into legal practice... or if it gets ignored. To clarify—I’m talking about BigLaw. I’m sure there are smaller firms with reasonable hours, the same exists in the US.

I have offer from KPMG India and PWC AC Banglore. Package is almost the same. PWC AC has Canada shift with permanent wfh and KPMG India has hybrid work model in pune location. Please suggest which one is better in terms of growth , wlb , culture etc

It’s an entry level business analyst position and an entry level digital position and was wondering if anyone wanted to case prep with me. I’m willing to work on anyones time zone. For those women who had babies in CA, were you able to take a few weeks off before your due date and did that cover 100% of pay (or just 60-70% via SDI)?

I have 1 YOE in strategy consulting at a Big 4, planning to apply for BA/AC roles at MBB. I’ve read they prefer you to list test scores on the application. I’ve never taken the GMAT, so is my ACT still ok to include even though it’s nearly a decade old? 99th percentile fwiw

Question to MBB interviewers. I have a couple of interviews coming up and want to understand the process better and manage my own expectations. Could you please share your personal experience: 1/ what % of interviewees are obviously not a good fit - when after the chat you just know that they are wrong for consulting 2/ % made major mistakes in case 3/ what % are kind ok w case and fit, but are not good enough 4/% that are good enough (with minor flaws) 5/ great and you know that they will fit

Got offered a role at a Middle East office at BCG - haven't accepted yet.
Anyway that I can transfer to a north American office (my current location) before I join? SO can't move to Dubai and while applying they didn't interview me for my current location just for the Dubai one.

I understand this may be a big ask, and I'm happy to interview again if need be.
