Figure out what to do after 5. You can’t go out every night and staring at Netflix gets old fast.
Made switch from industry to consulting so I can hopefully add color.
1. Internal politics - much more prevalent in industry but moves at slower pace than in consulting
2. Consulting has a get it done mentality that isn't easily mimicked. Time constraints for getting resources, data, meetings, facetime all increase. Project timelines will be longer and flexible
3. You'll still learn and work with incredibly smart people
4. After 6, find a hobby. Whether it's gym, cooking, reading, family, find something to focus your efforts on. It'll be a welcome change to not check your emails after a certain time at night.

Agreed. Recently left for industry and I’m struggling with the above. It’s great having all of the extra time but still trying to figure out how to fill the void.
