I’m 24 with a net worth of 60k. How can I buy a $3m beach house in 15 years? Is this life goal possible?

Marry someone with a $3M beach house within 15 yrs

likefunny

Absolutely.

I estimate you would need to be worth about $25mm to comfortably afford that, so you just need to make about $1.6mm a year.

So just sell 1,600 $1,000 widgets per year for 15 years.

See you in Malibu 🏄

Increase your income and wealth, and sure, it’s possible.

People overestimate what they can do in a year and underestimate what they can do in ten. -quote of the week

If you make it your goal and work seriously and consistently towards it, it will most likley happen. Of goals to choose from, this is an easy one.

Depends on income and savings rate. If that 60k is from those two factors over two years of career, looks possible

Believe in yourself. You don't need us to validate that.

Unfortunately, even at a mere 4% inflation factor (which might actually be more), today’s $3M beach house will be $5.4M in 15 yrs...

like

Plus the mortgage interest

You wouldn't want a beach house. In 15 years there might not be many left on the market anyhow

Bet it all on 24 and win

$3m in current dollars or future dollars?

Buy SNOW with all that money today. With about 30% year over year increase, you’d be able to pay for it

For the married and/engaged ladies, did you have any pre-wedding jitters? I recently got engaged (yay!) and I have felt for a very long time that my partner truly is my soulmate. I don’t have any reservations or hang ups about marrying him, but the sole idea of a lifetime physically makes me anxious. I feel guilty having these feelings when I couldn’t be more certain about the decision to marry him. Can anyone else relate?

Hi Everyone,
Any suggestions on networking in the private finance sector?
I recently transitioned from public to private sector finance to be more well-rounded and I’m having a hard time connecting with people in the space. I work for a fund admin in the digital asset space for HF & PE/VC firms and I noticed how much “bro culture” seems to impact the industry. Networking is hard enough working from home but I know how important it is to make those connections.

So to give some background, I currently have about 6-7 YOE in the BA/PM space, and my current position is 100k, with 10k annual bonus. The position I hold is as a Senior Business Analyst at the company I'm currently at.

I received an offer for a Salesforce Functional Business Analyst at Accenture for 128k annually with a 15k signing bonus. I'm hesitant due to the lower title, as I want to move back into PM work, and feel as if I'm taking a step down. Also, concerned with the WLB at Accenture.
