I’m 25 and 120 pounds and just found out my cholesterol is 227. Yikes. Anyone ever had to lower theirs? I knew I was eating poorly but didn’t know how bad it could be.

Same happened to me. I was 18 in college, 120lbs, 5'4". In great shape. Cholesterol was almost 250. Statins didn't help. They were impacting my liver. Eventually the science improved and docs stopped trying to lower it and instead just focused on my triglycerides and my LDL. I see a cardiologist to make sure there are no blocked arteries and such.

Lean meat, fish, and limit alcohol

I was in a similar boat and got mine lowered by using a treadmill 5x a week. I also got off birth control which can contribute to higher cholesterol.

I’m 25 and in the same boat. Workout 6x a week and diet is moderately healthy. In my case, it’s definitely due to genetics as both my parents have had high cholesterol for years.

My family is on my health plan and it’s open enrollment. Spouse is currently on leave and their federal health plan open enrollment is early next year. Is it possible to enroll us and our child on my health plan and then switch to spouse’s plan during their open enrollment? Also, typically are fed health plans that much better than private for families with one child?

I’ve found myself super depressed and full of self-doubt. Deep down I know that I’m a strong employee, a good friend and mom, a loving wife—but sometimes my own limiting voice keeps my from reaching my full potential. I’m in my early 30s and still criticize my weight, the way I interact, what I wear, etc. On some days that inner voice is so loud that I make mistakes that could have otherwise been avoided because I’m in my own head. I’m a 9th year in Big Law and have been struggling to get much work done the last 1.5 months. Mentioned this to my doctor at my recent visit, and she offered to increase my Vyvanse dosage, but I told her I wanted to see if it got better soon. I’m wondering now if it’s burnout.
