If you don’t have enough for a house right now I would say not to max out your 401k and just put in what’s enough to get the employer match. Save the rest for a down payment

If home ownership is important you can scale back investments and get the home. I did it on less income, and sold for a nice profit which is going into a $600k home with 20% down. I recommend brokerage investments so you can keep ahead and won’t take a tax hit down the road when purchase. Best of luck

I’d say maxing HSA comes before IRA because of the triple tax advantage if used on medical bills/stuff in the future. But yes, HSA then taxable brokerage. Just make sure you stay under the HSA cap because the cap is for your + employer contributions (unlike 401k)

EY High Deductible Health Plan vs Open Access Select (don’t have EY bowl access yet) I just started at the firm and am trying to pick my healthcare. I don’t really ever go to the Dr so I’m thinking of getting the High Deductible plan. My question is, what does it mean that it’s not a “national network (Is this a national network?: No)” but it’s “network coverage: see any licensed doctor”? Those seem to contradict. Also HSA vs FSA, as a healthy 26yo, which is right for me (High D only has HSA)

I have about 40K in savings, 35K in stocks, 110K in 401K. No debt and loans. I am thinking about buying a house/Condo in a year or two. I contribute 12% to my 401K. Any investment suggestions until I buy a house/condo? Right now I am comfortable paying up to $1800/month for mortgage loan. Single here.
