Not to sound like an MLM but I personally have the same issue and for me two things that really helped (I went from 150-178-164 because I started a desk job, stopped walking, started door dashing, and literally just gave up being anything other than a sweatpants blob - no rags). I got these probiotics from RAW formulated for women (but they also have men) and it has REALLY helped me control what was previous & life-long, intermittent, stress binge eating. I thought why not just try to correct my gut flora a bit to see if it helps me control cravings for sugar and fat and WOW has it helped me. I now take one every day feel a lot mentally and physically healthier just from introducing a better bacteria into my body. The other thing was just walking. Not running, not spinning, no weights just slow walking. In under the Tuscan sun, that movie with Diane Lane, she says when you renovate a house you have to start with a single room and go piece by piece to establish control and a home base. It always stuck with me and whenever I’m trying to get some control over my bad habits I start piece by piece. Just build an area of control like walking for an hour a day outside. Once that’s more of a habit then you go onto the next area of control and you work your way through all of the things in your life giving you anxiety until your Tuscan villa is renovated (you). Good luck! I’m on the same journey! Sending lots of love to you friend!
Thank you! I actually have bought probiotocs but I suck at being consistent lol but will try to be more consistent with taking it daily!
Vitamin D drops with K2 are really good way to get your levels back up but you might need shots or something. A level of 5 is extremely low and can cause you all sorts of issues.
We're you checked for anemia as well? B12/iron etc ?
PCOS is the most common reason for weight gain and hair loss in women, I would start reading about it and make sure you were tested to check for insulin resistance.
I'd say just focus on getting your vitamins up for 2months and go to a dermatologist and ask them to diagnose why you have hairloss.
Thanks! Yeah I have been taking 5k of vitamin d daily.and was tested for everything else as well
I was put on phentermine when I was 17 and weighed 142 lb and it messed me up for so long. Your stats sound better for handling it but I recommend keeping the dose as low as possible. I lost 20 lb immediately and was skeletal and the following year I gained 40 lb once I was off the meds. Biggest side effect was extremely dry mouth.
I have also gained weight in the pandemic and am struggling to lose weight, so I hear you. Good luck!
I currently am taking 5k daily of Vitamin D OTC since my doc pcp refused to give me a weekly dose. My dermatologist requested the test for it and told me to take 5k daily.
Check your thyroid too!
Thanks, I have and everything was OK in that department
I am at similar weight and taking high dosage (37g) due to BMI. I take it around 7-8am, and skip coffee. I have great mental clarity and focus, and don’t feel any hunger.
The problem is it’s easy to skip meals, or even forget to drink water. This is where you have to force yourself to stick to 3+ meals, even if they are smaller. It’s critical that you form a habit of making/eating healthier meals, that include lean protein at every meal. Weight loss takes commitment that includes awareness, behavioral changes, nutritional knowledge etc. Not doing so, will lead to re-gaining back the weight.
Did your doctor give you an eating regime to follow? I see a nutritionist weekly, and they weigh me. I recommend you do a physical activity daily, buy protein shakes, dry mouth wash, gum, sugar free candy and drink lots of water. Def buy Fiber gummies + magnesium gummies+ vitamins. They say Collagen helps with hair so get some of that too.
Did your doctor say what’s the cause of the hair loss ?
No unfortunately
