Trying to decide between 3 offers remote/Columbus
Square is 84k salary 5k bonus and 80k stocks vesting over 4 years
Veeva is 100k salary 20k bonus and 25k Stocks each year forever
Teletracking is 125k cash 5k bonus
I know about Square the most and if they paid closer to Veeva and Teletracking I’d probably go there but it seems like they underpay.
The Veeva culture seems really good but it’s a sustaining engineer position for year 1 so debugging
How are the yearly hikes in pepsico

Go for it, I'm 29 and already saving to make my jump next year hopefully 🤞🏻 you're never late to do what you really want to do.
Jump to do what? That’s exciting. Yeah I’m saving up too. Just don’t know for what!
1. You can make films anywhere.
2. You can work in advertising in LA while building up your film career contacts.
3. Also have you thought about Vancouver?
I have not thought about Vancouver, at all. Interesting.
You’re young! Go for it (says an old man advertising drifter)
Of course not, it’s never too late. But also, you don’t need to be in LA... If you can stomach a southern state, Louisiana and Georgia are booming (I mean, Covid aside obvs).
Lemon Pepper makes me Wet.
ATL is great and has an awesome indie film community to help you get your feet wet. Plus the job market here is good in general, if you want to freelance as you explore film.
You know, one way in could be offering to direct a low budget project you and your partner write for a client. Ease your way in to the DGA, make your intentions known to production companies that you're looking to transition, and you can start off as a commercial film director. Same thing goes on the photography end! Might take a while, but its a way to keep your salary for a while :)
As the other commenters pointed out LA isn’t the only game in town anymore. https://nofilmschool.com/Where-else-to-make-movies
No, never too late! Start creating now, right from your location. I’m in my 30s and working on getting some exposure in ad agency. I’m sure many would say I’m too late, but follow your heart. Money will always come if you have a strong desire for your labor of love. I’m in LA, so feel free to reach out to me if you’d like me to connect you with some people.
Never too late!
Short answer. It’s only too late if you think it is. Nobody will hold your hand in this transition.
Long answer. What are you skills? What training do you need? Can’t you kinda do this at your current agency job (pick up photography projects and ask to direct the stuff nobody wants to spend time on)
What type of stuff would you love to be working on? Comedy / drama ? Movies, TV, commercials, or just all of the above?
