I’m 7 weeks pregnant with my first. I gained about 25 pounds of stress weight last year and now have a bit of a belly. Between the weight gain and my pregnancy bloating, I already look 4 months pregnant and barely recognize my body. I’m struggling to find clothes that are comfortable, as anything that presses on my stomach irritates it, and my waist fluctuates +/-3” every day. Has anyone started wearing maternity clothing this early? My husband and I haven’t even told anyone that we’re expecting
Do and wear what feels comfortable. I was sick the first trimester and could only keep cheese and carbs down, which resulted in weight gain. My clothes stopped fitting before I told people!
💯 this. Just wear whatever works for you - no one has to know and they prob don’t care what you’re wearing! Most important thing is that you and baby are healthy. Good luck 💕

Absolutely! I did IVF, which caused so much bloating due to the medications and weight gain due to restricted exercise. I felt worse about my body during the first trimester than second, as a result!
I personally love Pink Blush Maternity, everything is stretchy and reasonably priced! Cute tshirt dresses for spring / summer that are SO comfortable, (from someone who also hates anything snug).
Thanks for the tip! I’ve always had a slimmer waist and am used to wearing relatively nipped garments, so I’m totally out of my element and don’t even know where to start looking for clothes. I’ll check them out!
I have been using Rent the Runway to get maternity clothes since the first trimester and really like it so far. Very easy to try out different sizes and styles and don’t have to worry about cleaning them.
I’ve used Thredup, Mercari, Poshmark for maternity clothes and now selling them all back on these same websites. Amazon also has cute stuff. I started wearing maternity stuff pretty early too. Congrats!
Thanks!

I have done two StitchFix maternity boxes and kept a total of 8 items (of 10) across the two boxes. Be super honest with them about what you want / need item-wise as well as your current size, and you’re more likely to get items you can really use.
