I'm a 23 year old military spouse trying to break in the SDR/BDR space. I do not have my college degree as yet but I have over 4 years of experience in sales on 3 different industries. Does anyone have any recommendations of companies that are best to apply to?

Right now the space is very tough to break into. Depends also what your salary/total comp goals are. I have 6 years of sales experience and a degree and after 350+ applications I’m getting some interviews. Make your resume as perfect as it can be to highlight complex sales cycles, and that essentially you have that dog in you.

It’s really tough out there right now. If you land interviews just do your best to highlight your willingness to learn and that you’re very coachable. Network on LinkedN

Maxed out Roth IRA contributions when I wasn't eligible for 2021 (got a salary bump mid year). Do I need to recharacterize? It's a very small account that's been open for only two years. That's the only IRA account I own. Do I need to open a traditional IRA and roll over 6k + realized gains into that account and keep the Roth IRA. So confused how this works and got conflicting information from Merrill.

What are some “typical” career paths for Account Executives other than working up towards the largest enterprise AE roles. After being in sales for 6 years, I’m relatively naive to any other than “leadership” and wonder what other options to consider are out there. I’d even be open so some not so typical ones that people have enjoyed/found success in. Thanks in advance!

Don’t assume that more likes and comments directly lead to sales. I’ve had posts with 20 likes that generated me more leads than a post with 100 likes.

Sales is a funny thing.

Big pipeline doesn’t mean more revenue.

Interviewed for a company today. The remuneration package $120k-$180k/year [Base + % of Commission = OTE] (50/50 spilt).

They’re asking for an expected salary, if my expected salary is $100k/year, comes out to $8.3k/month.

Based on the $180k and paymix of 50/50, that means $90k is the base salary which is lower than my expected - is this correct? If so, what should I do?

I’m in Sales, but brand new to tech sales. I had a resume person help me - gorgeous cover letter too that showcases my skills.

I keep getting rejected for lack of SaaS experience. What can I say or do to get my foot in the door? I am confident that I can crush it but not even getting past the gatekeeper at this point. It’s a blanket “ we need someone with experience” and I’m trying to not get discouraged.
