Stay with the Navy man...it's everyone 's dream to join it.
Get the pension and leave

That's the general consensus here too bro. I guess upskilling for next 7 yrs would be the right option.
Thanks 🙏

TCS may quote 20Cr as the offer for your software, but they will give you only peanuts if you are employed with them. So better try for some product based companies. I am sure with your experience you will land a good offer. All the best.

😄 thanks for prompt and bang on response. Would surely do.

I would suggest you to start your own company after getting some experience in the corporate world.

Thanks for a novel outlook.

I don't like my job, the responsibilities and tasks aren't right for me or my lifestyle.

Key positives for my current employer are pay and security. But my new role within the company isn't working for me, and ultimately I don't think it is for the company either.

A much much smaller (20 people) company offered me a role.

With the global economic situation as is, is it worth the risk to change to a job I know i'd like more with less pay, and potentially less job security?

Advice to young lawyers. Read a book.

I saw the thread about savings and many young lawyers (20s and 30s) don’t know how to open up a brokerage account or invest in their 401k. I know they don’t teach personal finance in school (though they should!), but my advice is that you should go to your local library and read a book about the subject. You have the skills necessary but you must invest in yourself. No one will look out for you.

Hi Guys, recently I received offers from 1. CTS & 2. EY GDS. EY offer is way lesser than my 1st offer from CTS, citing my low current salary. So, I haven't accepted the EY offer yet in the hope that it will be revised. Tech : SAP BW & SAC Planning, YOE 13 yrs, role offer : SCON 3, 26.5 fixed. I believe I should get around 32 fixed & HR is low balling me both on role & salary. Suggest me some strategies to get this offer revised.
